LET’S TALK ABOUT COLOR!
Are you objective and make quick decisions, or do you like spending time reflecting on different options? What kind of activities do you like—planning, painting, or construction? Your Birkman Color(s); red, green, blue, or yellow, quickly communicate your different preferences and behavioral patterns. Here are some traits that associate with each color:
- Red: represents action, energy, likes practical results
- Green: represents persuading and communicating with people
- Blue: represents innovation, creativity, and working with ideas
- Yellow: represents order, repeatability, procedures, and systems
Birkman Colors are an easy way to talk about your unique personality type. They are measured by four benchmarks: Usual Behavior, Interests, Needs, and Stress Behavior.

THE BIRKMAN METHOD
The Birkman Method produces a thorough measure of personality, motivation and interest, and effectively achieves what typically requires multiple assessments. It demonstrates that three distinct factors account for the majority of variance in job performance and job satisfaction:
- Characteristics of the individual
- Characteristics of the situation
- Interaction between the individual and the situation
The Birkman Method measures all three of the above factors in detail to maximize prediction and understanding, and distinguishes between differences of kind and differences of degree. This means that the assessment identifies the characteristics as well as the intensity of the characteristic. So, Birkman describes the individual within a variety of situations to deliver practical and actionable information. This is helpful for understanding and managing self, relationships, and careers.
